Main Phonological Shifts
Central Nezo-Germanic utilizes a vowel harmony system:
kwenō > kwëdo
sweras > sweræs
Central Nezo-Germanic also underwent the Great Nasal Shift, where nasals became voiced plosives:
ne > de
sumas > subas
drinkan /dɾiŋkan/ (allophonic /ŋ/) > drigæd
The Proto-Nezo-Germanic rhotic /ɾ/ smoothed out into /ɣ/. This change also occured in Northern Nezo-Germanic (which influenced the shift in Central Nezo-Germanic).
