Overview

The Kingdom of Gold, known in Leña Aruma as Reñu-uo de Arum, was a country in the southeastern region of Loquille in the continent of Petra. It is an absolute monarchy that has been ruled by the De Sélo Family since The Beheadings and is currently led by Carlos de Sélo, although there is an advisor from each region of the country elected by the people to advise the king. Rita de Sélo, the 13th Ruler, created this system to allow the common people to have their voice more easily heard. The Kingdom has very limited relationships with the other countries on Loquille with only a certain few countries allowed to trade with them.

History

Before The Beheadings, the kingdom was ruled by The de Arum Family for hundreds of years. King Astra de Arum felt threatened by Les Spirites and began to persecute the group. However, this led to The de Arum Family being ousted from power. The de Sélo Family took the throne before Les Spirites could take control of the Kingdom and made a deal that they would not be persecuted if the Kingdom could remain sovereign, which Spirite agreed to.

Collapse

After the suicide of Carlos de Sélo, Isa de Sélo became the 15th leader. However, anti-monarchist sentiments led to the two cities Poerta-oi Orentala and Poerta-oi Sureña forming a singular sovereign nation with Íla-oi becoming an autonomous zone under Sante Spirite. The western area near the border of Sante Spirite became an Occupied Zone, first by said nation, before becoming a joint zone by the The Loquille Alliance. Eventually, Isa de Sélo struck a deal with the leader of Thalassocracy of Asteria and the Selenes to join their Thalassocracy.
